CPL

Also known as Cost Per Lead

Cost Per Lead, paid spend divided by leads generated. The top-of-funnel efficiency metric.

In depth

Meaningless without lead quality context. A $50 CPL that converts to opp at 2% is worse than a $200 CPL that converts at 20%. Always report CPL alongside cost per SQL and cost per opp.
