Reseller

A partner that resells the vendor's product to end customers, taking a margin on each transaction.

Resellers range from transactional (order pass-through) to VARs (value-added, doing implementation and support). The reseller-vs-referral distinction matters for revenue recognition: resellers own the customer contract; referral partners don't.
