Two-Factor Authentication

Also known as 2FA · MFA · Multi-Factor Authentication

A login security step requiring a second verification (code, app, key) beyond just a password.

In depth

Most CRMs now enforce 2FA by default for accounts without single sign-on. It's one of the first things flagged in a CRM's built-in security health check, and one of the first things an ISO or SOC 2 auditor will ask about, since a compromised CRM login exposes an entire customer database.
